Eligibility:

Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory administration or autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or recognised University or institute or research institution,

holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

with two years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in posts in level-9 of the pay matrix (Rs. 53100-167800/-) or level-8 of the pay matrix (Rs. 47600-151100/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

Masters degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from
a recognised University or institute;
or
Masters degree in Mathematics or Statistics with at least one paper in Economics from a recognised University or institute.
