Which is a high level Centre for Weather and Climate Modeling under the Ministry of Earth Sciences. The mission of the Focus is to constantly foster high level mathematical climate forecast frameworks, with expanded dependability and exactness over India and adjoining districts through research, development, and
demonstration of new and novel applications, maintaining the highest level of knowledge, skills, and technical bases. Apart fromthe advanced technical knowledge of numerical modeling and data assimilation for weather and climate, NCMRWF is also equipped with advanced infrastructural facilities like 2.8 Peta FlopsHigh-Performance Computing and state-of-the-art networking and storage infrastructures.

Qualification:

Project Scientist – III (for NMWC project) : 

Master’s Degree in Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Science / Climate Science / Physics / Geophysics with specialization in Meteorology / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Earth System Science and Technology or related discipline from a recognized university.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil/Mechanical/Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized university.
AND
at least 60% marksin master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology.

Project Scientist -II (for NMWC project) : 

Master’s Degree in Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Science / Climate Science / Physics / Geophysics with specialization in Meteorology / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Earth System Science and Technology or relateddisciplinefrom a recognized university.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil/Mechanical/Computer Science correlated discipline from a recognized university.

Project Scientist – III (for BCWC project) : 

Ph. D. in any of the above-mentioned subjects.

Research experiences in numerical modelling of the atmosphere and ocean, data assimilation, climate modelling, statistical analysis of weather and climate data supported by publications in journals and reports

Project Scientist -II (for BCWC project) : 

Ph. D. in any of the above-mentioned subjects.

Research experiences in numerical modelling of the atmosphere and ocean, data assimilation, climate modelling, statistical analysis of weather and climate data supported by publications in journals and reports.

Working experience in data analysis tools

Salary:

67000rs-78000rs + HRA, increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience subject to performance review
