National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT Warangal or NITW) is a public technical university located in Warangal, Telangana, India. It was established in 1959 as the Regional Engineering College Warangal (REC Warangal), and later upgraded to National Institute of Technology in 2002. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, sciences, and management. NIT Warangal is consistently ranked among the top engineering institutes in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
